Slurp
Powdered feed for horses following illness.
Slurp is a powdered complimentary feed for horses containing barley, corn, micronised linseed, wheat bran, desiccated carob, high-temperature dehydrated alfalfa, psyllium powder along with probiotics. Thanks to its composition, SLURP is a valid support:
- in regulating intestinal activity in subjects recovery from surgery.
- in facilitating gastrointestinal function in elderly subjects and/or those with dental issues
- in removing sand or soil from the intestine and overcoming the consequent malabsorption syndrome
Composition: Barley flakes flour, maize flour, linseed, rice flour, carob powder, high temperature dried alfalfa, psyllium powder.
Analytical Constituents: Crude protein 12 %, Crude fibre 8.28 %, Crude oils and fats 8.44 %, Crude ash 2.14 % Sodium 0.00 %, Moisture 10.8 %
Additives per kg: Promoters of digestion (4a1704) Saccharomyces cerevisiae CBS 493.94 5 x 108 CFU
Instructions For Proper Use
Reconstitute the product by adding 250 ml of hot water every 100 g of powdered Slurp (2.5 I of water for 1 kg of powder). Mix until completely dissolved and administer once cooled to an acceptable temperature. To help bowel function: one day a week, replace feed and grains with 1 kg of powdered Slurp every 150 kg of body weight.
In older horses and/or horses with chewing problems: at least two days a week, replace feed and grains with 1 kg of powdered Slurp every 150 kg of body weight.
In horses recovering from surgery: after the fasting period, administer 50-100 g of powdered Slurp alone every 100 kg of body weight every 6 hours. Do not administer more than 2 kg a day.
In horses recovering from abdominal surgery: after the fasting period, administer 50 g of powdered Slurp alone every 100 kg of body weight every 6 hours. Do not administer more than 1 kg a day.
